Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUIS CONSTANT Peacefully on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, Lou passed away from complications of a stroke. He was born June 28, 1945, in Winnipeg. He met his wife Angela, of 38 years, at Constant Macaroni. When the business was sold, he found new employment at Canada Safeway. Lou worked in the Salvage department for most of his 33 years with the company. He retired in the spring of 2006. Lou was very active in his local community club for the past 30 years. He started by running the baseball program at the Southdale Community Centre. Lou then found his true calling in life when he took over the Southdale Bingo in 1989. Lou developed a close relationship with all of the bingo players, considering most of them more than friends. Left to mourn his loss are his wife Angela; his two sons, Ed and Paul (Jennifer); along with his two brothers, Henri (Solange) and Raymond (Jocelyne). Also left to mourn Lou's loss is all of his wife's family along with his nieces, nephews and several cousins. Lou spent most of his life with his family traveling. He was his happiest when the entire family visited Disney World, Las Vegas or Montreal. Lou continued to travel once the family grew older by going with Angela to the farm in Meleb nearly every weekend. Dad had many passions in life from watching wrestling, to helping run the Southdale Spring Carnival, to collecting sports cards, although his greatest passion was time spent with Mom. Cremation has already taken place with a memorial luncheon to be held in Lou's honour at the Travelodge, 20 Alpine Ave., on Sunday, August 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
